Baishan AWS is partnered with Annie Wright Schools (AWS) in Tacoma, Washington and prepares students for higher education abroad.  Our Weekly Update is an opportunity for us to share all of the great learning experiences that take place both in and outside of our classroom, and is a testament to our commitment to communication with our parents as well as the community.

It's very true that Thanksgiving Day is an American tradition. As a school that's rooted in the Annie Wright and American history it is important that we provide our students with these cultural learning opportunities. The spirit behind Thanksgiving, however, can not be contained by borders or nationalities. 

感恩节是美国的传统节日。作为植根美国且历史悠久的安妮怀特学校的合作学校，我们为学 生提供传统文化的学习机会非常重要。此外，感恩节背后的精神是没有国界或民族界限的。

Surrounding oneself with the people you care most about and dedicating a time to reflect on the good things in life are important.  Feeling fortunate for what we have reminds of us why we try, why we work, and why we invest in relationships.

与您最关心的人在一起，回顾生活中美好的事物是很重要的。感恩我们自己的努力，我们的 工作以及我们周围的每一个人。

Today at Baishan AWS we celebrated Thanksgiving with people from around the world, who all bring different talents and traditions into our Baishan AWS family. I am thankful for this diversity that helps create our unique learning culture. Moreover, we are fortunate to have such hardworking and dedicated staff who came together to create a wonderful Thanksgiving for the students.

今天在白珊·安妮高中，我们与来自世界各地的人们一起庆祝感恩节，他们为白珊·安妮高中大 家庭带来了不同的文化和传统。我们非常珍惜这种多样性，它为我们创造了独特的学习文 化。此外，我非常荣幸能与如此勤奋和敬业的员工齐聚一堂，为学生们创造了一个美好的感 恩节。

One of the many benefits of holidays is that people have time to get to know more about each other. This morning started with Mr. Thiago Silva (Science) and Mr. Dustin Durbin (Humanities) jamming with the guitars and singing.

假期的诸多好处之一是人们有时间更多地了解彼此。今天上午，科学老师Mr. Thiago Silva 先 生和人文老师Mr. Dustin Durbin带领学生们演奏吉他和唱歌。

Ms. Emilia Zheng (Chinese Literature & Culture) was a natural at getting the students involved with decorating our hallway and building.

Thanks to the many faculty who were able to help source items, teach the students how to prepare the entrees, set the table, and help serve.  The team effort was well worth it.
